How often is Credit Account Information Updated?

Credit Account information gets updated whenever a company sends Batch Updates to the Credit Reference Agencies.
This usually happens monthly, but is not always on the same day every month.
The updates should contain the previous months balance and payment information, however some companies are renound for being behind on their updates.
Lots of companies, the larger ones in particular, tend to have access to Rapid Update systems, which allow them to request immediate updates (usually within 48hrs).
You should always give up to 6 weeks in between updates, but if an account has not been updated for longer than this, you can contact the Credit Reference Agency, who will write to company and request an update.
